One of the main things we worked on in art this semester were our lino carvings. We set up a tea party and took photos, then drew our drafts in our books. We copied the draft onto the lino with pencil, then used the carving tool to carve our images. I liked how my lino turned out; I liked the jug most of all. If I could improve on it I would carve a bit deeper in some of the lines because by the end of the printing process, some of them were flooding a bit. This is my lino carving:
The next stage was printing. We used lots of different coloured ink. In some of my prints there were extra white bits that I didn't want, and in others, some of the lines flooded. So for improvement I would work on putting the right amount of ink on my lino. Some of my prints did turn out okay though. I was very happy with one of my black prints. Here are my lino prints:
